Debra was introduced to sewing by her grandmother. She also had a great-aunt who kept a quilt on a wooden quilting frame all the time. When she heard Debra was getting married in 1972, she sent her a quilt, which is still in use. Doretha Hamidullah, a coworker, invited Debra to the AAQC meeting, and she joined. She wanted to make teaching quilts as gifts for children. She chose panels with alphabet, words, geography/maps, and puzzles. She has learned from AAQC classes to use traditional patterns. Debra also enjoys making scrappy quilts.Add/update supplied biography; also flagged missing in member email. Only one profile.
